Handychief installs and replaces the household appliances most homes swap out: dishwashers, over-the-range microwaves, washers and dryers, garbage disposals, range hoods, and refrigerator ice-maker hookups — using the suitable existing water, drain, electrical, and vent connections in your home. Text us the appliance and photos of the space, and we’ll quote it before we arrive.
Installation and replacement using the suitable existing connections in your home — quoted up front from your photos.
Old unit removed and disconnected when included, the new one positioned, leveled, connected to the existing water supply and drain, secured, and tested for operation and visible leaks. Standard scope assumes suitable existing connections — new plumbing, new circuits, or cabinet modification aren’t automatically included.
Existing unit removed when included, the mounting bracket and cabinet mounting set, and the new microwave hung on the existing power — configured ducted or recirculating to match the appliance and what’s already in the wall. New circuits and new ductwork aren’t part of the standard scope.
Connected to suitable existing hot and cold supplies, drain, power, and dryer vent, then leveled and run through a basic check. Gas dryers: we connect the appliance where appropriate — installing or modifying a gas line is work for a qualified gas trade.
Old disposal out, the replacement mounted, drain connected, and hooked to suitable existing power, then tested. Requirements vary by sink, plumbing, wiring, and disposal model — photos up front let us quote it accurately.
Under-cabinet and comparable range hoods replaced or installed on suitable existing electrical and ventilation — ducted or recirculating, depending on the hood and the existing setup. Extensive new ductwork isn’t part of standard installation.
Compatible refrigerators and ice makers connected to an appropriate existing water connection. Running a brand-new supply line through walls or cabinets is a different job — we’ll tell you if that’s what your kitchen needs.
Swapping an appliance where one already lives is usually straightforward: the connections exist, and the job is removal, installation, and testing. Installing an appliance where there’s never been one is a different project — it can involve plumbing, electrical work, ventilation, or cabinetry changes before the appliance ever comes out of the box.
Photos and the model number tell us which one you’ve got. Send them first, and the quote reflects the real scope — no surprises on installation day.
Every appliance installation depends on what’s already behind it: the water valves and supply hoses, the drain, the electrical receptacle, the dryer vent or hood venting, and the cabinet opening itself. When those are sound and compatible, installation is routine.
When something is damaged, unsafe, or incompatible — a seized shutoff valve, a receptacle in the wrong place, a vent that doesn’t meet the appliance’s requirements — the fix may be additional work or a job for a licensed plumber or electrician. We’ll tell you which before any work starts, not after.
The sequence adapts to the appliance — the communication stays the same.
