Handychief assembles customer-supplied gas grills, charcoal grills, pellet grills, smokers, and flat-top griddles according to the manufacturer’s instructions for the specific model. Text the product link, fuel type, and where it’s going for a quote.
Customer-supplied outdoor cooking equipment, built to the specific manufacturer’s instructions.
Cart and base assembly, side shelves, cabinet doors, burners, heat shields, grates, warming racks, grease trays, wheels, and ignition components. Manufacturer-designed hose and regulator components are assembled and connected as appropriate to the grill system — gas-line modifications are outside standard grill assembly.
We assemble the grill itself, per its instructions. If the installation requires work on the property’s gas piping or a specialized final connection outside normal assembly scope, an appropriately qualified gas or plumbing trade may be required.
Kettle grills, barrel, offset, and cabinet smokers — frames, legs, handles, lids, vents, wheels, shelves, racks, fireboxes, and thermometer components where included. Combustion and ventilation systems stay as the manufacturer designed them.
Frame and cart assembly, hopper components, shelves, grates, manufacturer wiring and connectors, and controller or display components where they’re part of assembly, plus basic manufacturer-recommended startup where appropriate. Defective electronics may require manufacturer support.
Frame and cart, shelves, handles, wheels, cooktop placement, grease-management components, and manufacturer-supplied propane system components — assembled in the sequence the specific model calls for.
Manufacturer-designed built-in grill components and modular outdoor-kitchen units where appropriate. Custom outdoor kitchens, masonry islands, gas lines, new circuits, plumbing, and countertop fabrication are different projects — send product info, opening dimensions, photos, and fuel type first.
Brands: we assemble many common grill and outdoor-cooking brands — Weber, Blackstone, Traeger, Pit Boss, Char-Broil, Nexgrill, Napoleon, Oklahoma Joe’s, and other customer-supplied grills. Send the exact model or product link so we can review the assembly requirements. Handychief is an independent local service, not affiliated with or authorized by any grill manufacturer.
For manufacturer-designed propane systems, connecting the supplied regulator and hose to the grill and a compatible propane cylinder can be part of the agreed setup — and where the manufacturer calls for a leak check after connection, the manufacturer-recommended procedure is followed. That’s an assembly step, not a professional gas-system inspection or certification.
If a gas odor, visible damage, or a suspected leak turns up, the grill doesn’t get operated: the fuel supply is shut off where safely possible, and the issue has to be corrected before use. Damaged gas-system components don’t get improvised repairs.
Parts identified, hardware organized, the assembly sequence followed, manufacturer components installed and tightened appropriately, doors, shelves, and wheels checked, cooking components installed, and a basic post-assembly check. Safety-critical and fuel-system components never get improvised hardware substitutes.
This page is new grill assembly: building the grill, installing supplied components, manufacturer setup, and a basic post-assembly check. Burner replacement on damaged grills, regulator diagnosis, ignition and valve repair, rusted-component repair, and electronics repair are grill repair — a different job, and we’ll say so honestly.
Have the complete grill, manufacturer hardware, instructions, regulator and hose where included, and the model’s accessories on hand. Missing bolts, bent shelves, damaged panels, or a damaged regulator happen with big boxes — if a manufacturer-specific or safety-related component is missing or damaged, the correct replacement may be required before setup can be completed properly.
Assembled grills are heavy and awkward. Final placement can be reviewed as part of the project — tell us in advance about stairs, narrow gates, balconies, elevated decks, or unusually heavy components so access can be reviewed before scheduling.
The final location must follow the manufacturer’s requirements for outdoor use, clearances from combustible surfaces, ventilation, overhead structures, and fuel-cylinder placement. Those numbers come from your grill’s manual, not from us — and a grill doesn’t belong indoors or in an enclosed garage.
Outfitting a whole patio? Grill plus smoker, grill plus griddle, or several units for a rental property — send the full product list and photos so the project can be reviewed together and quoted as one job.
Packaging can be broken down and organized after assembly. Haul-away or disposal should be confirmed as part of the project scope.
Duration depends on the grill, component count, accessories, and access — the quote sets the schedule.
Model or product link, fuel type, location, and access information.
The grill’s requirements against your space and the route to it.
What’s included, agreed and priced up front.
Components sorted, built in the manufacturer’s sequence.
Shelves, burners, grates, doors, and accessories installed; manufacturer-required setup and checks completed.
Positioned as agreed and feasible, and the finished grill walked through with you.

Yes. The grill and its manufacturer-supplied propane components — hose, regulator, and ignition parts — can be assembled according to the product instructions. Gas-line modifications are a separate, specialized scope.
We can assemble the grill itself. If the installation requires work on the home’s natural-gas piping or a specialized final gas connection, an appropriately qualified gas or plumbing trade may be required.
Yes — appropriate customer-supplied models are assembled according to the manufacturer instructions, including hopper, controller, and display components where they’re part of assembly.
We’ll identify the issue. Manufacturer-specific or safety-related parts — burners, regulators, valves, hoses — may need to be replaced before assembly and setup can be completed properly; they don’t get improvised substitutes.
