Handychief assembles customer-supplied bed frames of most kinds: platform and panel beds, storage beds with drawers and lifts, bunk and loft beds, adjustable bases, daybeds, trundles, and toddler beds — built to the instructions and hardware that come with the specific bed. Text the product link and bed size, and we’ll quote it before we arrive.
Customer-supplied bed frames, built to the specific product’s instructions.
Frames, headboards, footboards, slats, center supports, and manufacturer legs — assembled in the product’s own sequence with its own hardware. Slat spacing, center support, and hardware requirements vary by model, so the instructions lead, not habit.
Drawers, lift-up platforms, storage compartments, and manufacturer gas struts or lift mechanisms — more moving parts means more assembly and alignment. If a drawer slide or strut arrives defective, that’s a manufacturer replacement, and we’ll say so.
Assembled to the current manufacturer instructions with every supplied safety component installed — guardrails, ladders, frame-to-frame connectors, and wall securing where the maker specifies it. Hardware is tightened according to the manufacturer’s assembly instructions, and the completed bed is checked for normal stability and correct installation of the supplied safety components.
Daybeds and trundles built and checked so the pull-out actually pulls out. Toddler beds are safety-sensitive: instructions followed exactly, supplied hardware only, and no improvised or substituted structural components — if critical parts are missing, assembly waits for the correct manufacturer replacements.
Frame and base assembly, legs and supports, mattress-retention components, connecting the manufacturer-supplied power components, pairing included controls where supported, and a basic operational test. Electronics, motor, and control-board repair — and manufacturer warranty service — are not part of assembly; a defective base needs the manufacturer.
Frame-mounted headboards and footboards on their manufacturer brackets, and wall-mounted headboards where appropriate — mounting there depends on the headboard’s design and weight, the wall construction, the supplied hardware, and the available support. Broader wall-mounting runs through home installation.
We work with many common flat-pack and ready-to-assemble bed systems — IKEA, Wayfair and Amazon brands, Ashley, Zinus, Thuma, West Elm, Pottery Barn, and other customer-supplied furniture — and follow the instructions for the specific product in front of us. IKEA-specific projects have their own page: IKEA assembly. No affiliations, no partnerships — just their instructions, followed.
Before we arrive, have the complete product, the manufacturer hardware, the instructions, any specialty brackets, and the electronics or controls where applicable.
Assembly sometimes surfaces missing hardware, damaged panels, defective brackets, wrong parts, or damaged drawer slides. We’ll identify exactly what’s wrong and what’s needed. If a manufacturer-specific part is missing or damaged, the correct replacement may need to be obtained before assembly can be completed properly — structural components never get improvised substitutes.
Room size and access shape the assembly sequence — for larger frames, we plan the assembly around the available room and access so the bed can be placed appropriately, since a fully built king frame rarely fits through a doorway afterward. Some products need minimum clearance to build; the room photos you send tell us what we’re working with, and normal care around walls and floors is part of the job.
Furnishing kids’ rooms, a guest room, or a rental? Send the full product list and links — beds, dressers, nightstands — and we’ll review the project together and quote it as one job. Non-bed furniture runs through our assembly services.
Existing-bed disassembly can be reviewed as part of the project — removal or haul-away is confirmed separately, not assumed. After assembly, packaging is gathered and broken down; haul-away or disposal should be confirmed as part of the agreed scope.
Skipped supports, misaligned components, half-tightened connections, and mis-installed safety hardware are what turn a good bed into a wobbly one. Following the manufacturer’s assembly sequence and installing all required supports helps the bed function as intended — that’s the whole promise, and it’s the honest one.
From boxes on the floor to a bed you can sleep in — the same sequence on every project.

“Andrew was outstanding! He hung a very heavy mirror with incredible precision and changed out our patio lights, making sure everything was installed perfectly. Professional, skilled, meticulous.”
One note: a wall-mounted Murphy bed is a very different project from ordinary bed-frame assembly — it has its own dedicated page.

Yes — to the manufacturer’s instructions, with the supplied guardrails, ladder components, connectors, and other required safety hardware installed, and the finished bed checked for normal stability.
Yes — the scope depends on the specific drawer or manufacturer-designed lift system, since moving parts mean extra assembly and alignment.
Often, yes — the sequence depends on the room, the product’s dimensions, and the working space available. Larger frames are usually best assembled in or near their final location.
Yes, where appropriate — mounting depends on the headboard, the wall construction, the hardware, and the installation conditions.
Appropriate adjustable bases can be assembled and set up to the manufacturer’s instructions, controls paired where supported, and operation tested. Electronics repair and manufacturer warranty service aren’t part of normal assembly.
We’ll identify exactly what’s missing or damaged. Manufacturer-specific parts may need to be replaced before correct assembly can be completed — structural components don’t get improvised substitutes.
