Handychief assembles customer-supplied treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, rowers, benches, racks, cable machines, and multi-station home gyms — built to the instructions for the specific equipment. Text the product link, the room it’s going in, and any stairs or access details for a quote.
Customer-supplied cardio and strength equipment, built to the specific manufacturer’s instructions.
Frame and upright assembly, handrails, console, manufacturer wiring connections, and accessories. Where the manual calls for belt alignment, tracking, or tension checks, those steps are performed to the model’s requirements — then a basic operational check.
Frame, pedals and arms, rails and seat components, console, and manufacturer wiring — assembled in the maker’s sequence, with resistance components installed where they’re part of the manufacturer’s design.
Stabilizers, handlebars, seat, pedals, and console or screen where included. Stationary, spin, and connected fitness bikes set up per the specific model’s instructions, with basic adjustments completed during setup.
Flat and adjustable benches, rack-and-bench combinations, and manufacturer-designed attachments. Capacity is determined by the manufacturer and the complete product configuration — we build to the instructions, not to load claims of our own.
Racks, stands, pull-up stations, safety arms and pins, J-cups, crossmembers, and supplied attachments. If the manufacturer requires floor or wall anchoring, the requirements and mounting surface are reviewed before that part of the project is confirmed.
Outdoor-rated pull-up stations, rigs, and garage gym equipment where the product is designed for it. Outdoor suitability depends on the manufacturer’s rating, and structural hardware follows the product requirements — no improvised substitutes.
Brands: we assemble many common fitness equipment brands — NordicTrack, ProForm, Bowflex, Schwinn, Sole, Nautilus, Peloton, Rogue, and other customer-supplied equipment. Send the exact model or product link so we can review the assembly requirements. Handychief is an independent local service, not affiliated with or authorized by any equipment manufacturer.
The most involved builds on this page: frame, guide rods, weight stacks, pulleys, cable routing, handles, and shrouds. Correct cable routing and pulley installation are important for normal operation, so the manufacturer’s assembly diagram is followed exactly — and structural cables, pulleys, and proprietary components never get improvised substitutes.
Systems combining weight stacks, pulleys, press arms, leg stations, and benches vary widely in complexity — the model, station count, component count, access, and room conditions set the scope. Send the product link and room photos and we’ll review the whole project rather than promising a fixed time.
Components identified, hardware sorted, the assembly sequence followed, manufacturer fasteners installed, cables routed to the diagram, wiring connected, and required adjustments completed. Where the manufacturer provides specific torque specifications, hardware is tightened to those requirements; otherwise it’s tightened per the instructions with appropriate tools. We don’t invent torque values or substitute structural hardware.
Missing bolts, damaged frame components, wrong hardware, damaged cables, or defective consoles happen with big kits. If a manufacturer-specific or safety-critical component is missing or damaged, the correct replacement may be needed before assembly can be completed properly — we’ll identify exactly what’s needed.
Fitness equipment is heavy and bulky, and a fully assembled treadmill or rack may not fit through doorways, halls, or stairways — so large equipment is best assembled in or near its final location. Placement or moving within the property can be reviewed as part of the project: tell us in advance about stairs, narrow hallways, tight doorways, or unusually heavy components, since weight, access, and the number of people required all factor into the plan.
Using rubber gym flooring or an equipment mat? Have it on hand — mats are normally positioned before or during equipment placement where practical.
Displays, consoles, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi features, and electronic resistance systems are connected and set up as far as the assembly instructions require. We’re not an electronics repair or network support service — defective consoles, motors, control boards, and sensors may require manufacturer support.
This page is new equipment assembly and setup: building to the instructions, required adjustments, and a basic operational check. Motor repair, electronics repair, worn-component replacement, and internal diagnostics are equipment repair — a used treadmill with mechanical problems is a different conversation, and we’ll say so honestly.
Assembly ends with a basic operational check per the manufacturer’s instructions — visible fasteners, moving components, cable movement, console power, and seat, pedal, and handle adjustments as applicable. It’s an assembly check, not equipment certification or load testing.
Setting up a whole home gym? Treadmill plus bike, bench plus rack, or a full multi-piece setup — send the complete product list and room photos so the project can be reviewed together and quoted as one job.
Packaging can be broken down and organized after assembly. Haul-away or disposal should be confirmed as part of the project scope.
Duration depends on the equipment, component count, access, and room conditions — the quote sets the schedule.

Yes. Assembly follows the manufacturer’s instructions for the specific model, including model-specific setup or belt checks where the manual requires them, followed by a basic operational check.
Yes — appropriate customer-supplied systems can be assembled according to the manufacturer’s frame, pulley, cable-routing, and weight-stack instructions.
Possibly. Placement depends on the size and weight of the components, stairway and doorway access, and how many people are required. Send photos and product information so access can be reviewed before scheduling.
Where the manufacturer’s setup instructions call for belt tracking, alignment, or tension checks, those steps can be completed as part of assembly. Procedures vary by model.
